Euthanasia

Euthanasia is the practice of ending a life in a way which relieves pain and suffering, someone that is dying and in great pain may have Euthanasia performed on them. It's Greek for "good death".
There are five types of Euthanasia, voluntary, non-voluntary, involuntary, passive, and active Euthanasia. Voluntary Euthanasia is another word for assistance of suicide, when someone purposely sends the person in pain to death. Non-voluntary is where there is no consent of the patient, and the killer does it out of love, which is highly illegal almost worldwide. Involuntary is when it is done against the will of the patient. Passive Euthanasia is where the doctor or nurse holds back the medication needed to survive to end his/her life. Active Euthanasia is where the physician uses lethal substances or forces to kill the patient, but in a very non-painful manner, active euthanasia is against medical ethics and sometimes considered as homicide or manslaughter. Most countries in the world do not have this legalized. Euthanasia is considered a homicide almost worldwide and only the use of substantial medication to relieve the pain and suffering of the patient is considered legal.

Overall Grade

As we presented our project to our language arts teacher we were really pumped about our project thinking that we deserved an A. Well what do you know we get our rubric back with the number 4 circled on the paper. When we finished our presentation our language arts teacher told us that we handled the topic of euthanasia very seriously. She then told us that our euthanasia project was the best on the team, but of the entire school. She then told us that presenting our project will help us in the long run as eventually in high school we have to do a senior project that we have to present and we have to present a digital portfolio of what we learned through our four years of high school. We were giving each other high fives as we walked away with an awesome grade.
